H. Biszi (Kalispel) was purchased in 1985 from the estate of
Countness Margit Bessenyey, Hamilton, Mt., along with 3 other Hungarian horses. Kalispel was vitually untouched for the first 4 years of her life until she was roped for us for a light vet check. She became the lead mare for kathy's breeding program and had many foals that had successful careers.
Kathy broke and trained her for one season in the eventing world (1988) afterwhich she began her foaling career. That one season, Kathy and Kalispel, won the novice Area VIII year end award, winning 6 out of 10 events that year. The painting below commemorates their season.
